News from the News: The Potato Olympics: Behind the Scenes

The Potato Olympics is
A well-oiled, orchestrated
Occasion that excite and amaze even the most blah of potatoes.

Welcome back to our new segment : The Potato Olympics! Now, I heard our first post was a HUGE success! So, we at News From the News decided to post another post. So; (Drumroll please!) Welcome to The Potato Olympics: Behind the Scenes! Keep reading for the full thing.

Now, I know some of you inquisitive peeps in the street might be wondering: What do these mind-blowing Murphys do behind the scenes? Well, we're here to uncover the truth! So, to get the big scoop, we're talking to Piper the Potato!

Me: Welcome Piper!

Piper: Thank you for having me here.

Me: So Piper, all of our fans have been wondering: What happens behind the scenes? Care to answer?

Piper: Sure. It's really not as cool as everyone thinks. So first, my landlord, sees a video on her computer. Then, she gets me from my bed ( when I'm not filming or having my photo taken, you can find me in bed.), and we start to film. Normally, we film in videos, with me doing my own stunts, and my landlord (aka Sahasra) filming. Then, she'll post it on this thing called Flipgrid. It's where kids can post videos about school, greetings of the day, their personal lives, and, of course, the Potato Olympics. After that, other kids can see the video and se me, the star of the show.

Me: Oh, ok. So, is there anything you want our readers to know?

Piper: Um, I don't think so. If I think of anything I'll tell you.

Me: Ok, that's fine. You don't find if I ask you some questions, do you?

Piper: No, that's what you've been doing this entire time.

Me: Oh, good point. Anyway, why is your name Piper? I mean, you're from Peru, and you moved to the US, so why is it Piper? That's kind of an Irish name.

Piper: Oh, well, I guess my name is Piper because some people in my family are Irish, and when the family decided on my name, Piper was at the top of the list. Plus, I like Piper. It's pretty, and has great alliteration. My brothers' names are: Peter, Payton, Phoenix, Parker, Percy, and Pip. And I have an older sister who's totally awesome, and her name is Paige. My friends' names (Sahasra came up with both their names) are: Penny and Patricia Potato Jr (she's actually the third, but that's a LONG story). Potatoes just really like alliteration.

Me: Cool, well is there anything else you want to say to the readers? Or anyone else too.

Piper: Yeah, my motto: Do awesome, be awesome, stay awesome. Bye!

well, you heard it from Piper yourself folks, Do awesome, be awesome, stay awesome. I like that. Have a great day, week, month, year, life, whatever you want! Stay tuned for more from News From The News: The Potato Olympics! Bye!

News From The News: Potato Olympics: Piper the Potato

The Potato Olympics is a time for all the spuds to come together in a time of festivity, frolic, and fun. But this is no game. It is a once in a lifetime event for athletes of all ages (some over 60, some under 25) to come together to prove who is the CHAMPION! It is so important, that even though school was out, this happened online. Piper the Potato is quite a young competitor who is hoping to win for the greater good: stopping the creation of tater tots.  Here is her biography.

Piper the Potato is from Peru. Her partner is a perfectly plump pomegranate.

Born: In Peru (majority of family was born in Ireland)
Family: She is the only girl in her inner family (other than Mom) so she is very competitive. Piper's family kept migrating, so they wouldn't turn into French Fries. (They did stay in France with some eggs for a year) But after Piper was born, they settled down in the US of A.
The Olympics: Piper is entering the Olympics because she wants to be famous, and she wants to convince people to stop eating potato chips. She lost her uncle that way. He got put in a barbecue flavored Lays bag
Personality: She is funny but hard working.
Dreams: She wants to be in history as the winner of the 2020 Potato Olympics.
